Auto & home services

Nobody answers
from under a car.

Or from a loft, a roof, or a customer's kitchen. The people who do the work cannot take the calls, and the person calling wants two things: a rough price and a slot. Both are answerable without interrupting anyone.

Where it leaks

01

The technician is the receptionist

In most small operations the phone belongs to whoever is least busy, which during working hours is nobody. Calls go to voicemail and voicemail goes unheard.

02

Emergencies go to whoever picks up first

A burst pipe or a breakdown is won by the first firm that answers. Those are also the highest-value jobs of the week.

03

Job details arrive incomplete

Make, model, registration, symptoms, address, access. Half of it gets written on the back of something and the van arrives without the right part.

What the system handles

Job intake and triage

Collects the details that determine the job: vehicle or property, symptoms, urgency, address and access notes.

Booking against technician rotas

Books into real availability with job-length rules, so a full diagnostic does not land in a thirty-minute gap.

Quote requests

Gives your standard price for standard work and takes the details for anything that needs a proper estimate.

Emergency routing

Out-of-hours emergencies go straight to the on-call number instead of into a booking queue.

Follow-up on quotes

Chases sent estimates so the ones nobody had time to ring about do not simply expire.

How it sounds

An ordinary
conversation.

Illustrative, not a recording. On a call we will dial a live agent and hand you the phone instead — that is a better test than anything written down.

Caller My brake warning light came on this morning. Can you fit me in?
Aurum We can take a look. Could I get the make, model and registration? And is the light steady or flashing?
Caller Golf, 2018, CA4471MX. It is steady.
Aurum Thank you. Steady usually means pads rather than anything urgent, but do not leave it. We have 14:30 today or 09:00 tomorrow — which would you prefer?

Questions from this sector

Can it quote prices?

For your standard priced work, yes — a service, an MOT, a boiler check. For anything requiring diagnosis it takes the details and says an estimate will follow, because quoting blind is how jobs turn into arguments.

What if a customer describes a real emergency?

Defined keywords and symptoms trigger immediate transfer to your on-call number. Gas smell, flooding, no heat in winter, brakes failing. You set that list during the design step and we test every item of it before launch.

Our jobs are all different. Will it cope?

It handles intake and booking, not diagnosis. Its job is to make sure the van arrives with the right information and the right part, which is a much narrower and more reliable task than working out what is wrong.
